The Tubbataha Youth Ambassador Program is a volunteer program, implemented by the Tubbataha Management Office and funded by the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. which aims to develop future conservation leaders for Palawan.
Initiated in 2013, the TYA Program served as TMO’s public outreach medium with the goal of developing and producing young citizens who value the marine environment, preparing them for their future role as stewards of the environment, thereby contributing the protection of Palawan’s marine resources for the years to come.
The program works by educating and training participants through relevant discussions, activities and the application of environmental principles. Participants will also be able to engage in activities which will allow them to communicate with local communities, learn from environmental conservation experts, and coordinate with TMO’s trusted partner institutions.
