The Park Rangers on Tubbataha Reefs are now wearing ‘rashguards’ supplied by Manila-based watersports gear manufacturer Madkahuna. The rashguards have become part of the rangers’ official uniform.

By supplying the rashguards for 2013, Madkahuna is supporting those on the frontline of natural resource conservation in the Philippines.

The team of Marine Park Rangers in Tubbataha is composed of personnel from the Philippine Navy, Philippine Coast Guard, Local Government of Cagayancillo and the Tubbataha Management Office. They are assigned to the isolated reefs in the Sulu Sea to patrol the 97,030-hectare underwater reserve, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Madkahuna also supports sports and athletes nationwide such as, the 1st National Skim Boarding in General Santos City in 2009 and the PCKF Dragon Boat Philippine Team. They are currently also supplying other new Tubbataha merchandise.

The Tubbataha Management Office is grateful to Madkahuna for choosing Tubbataha and hopes to collaborate further in the coming years.
