Training / Seminar for Tubbataha Dive Professionals

The Tubbataha Management Office (TMO) with the support from Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving (PCSSD) and Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc., will offer two training/seminars this season.  The first one is on diving injuries.   Dr. Michael Francis Perez of St. Patrick’s Medical Center, an expert in hyperbaric medicine will conduct the seminar.

A training on oxygen in-water recompression (OIWR) will be conducted by Mr. Alex Santos, renowned practitioner and instructor of in-water oxygen recompression and Philippine pioneer in technical diving.  These activities are part of the divemaster program offered by TMO for the last three years.

Although the training/seminar is open to all diving professionals, those working in Tubbataha will be given first priority to participate.  The schedule and venue are as follows:

Manila

15 – 16 February:  OIWR

17 February:  Diving Injuries

Palawan

03 March:  Diving Injuries

06 – 07 March:  OIWR
