Tubbataha Management Office

The Tubbataha Management Office (TMO) serves as the TPAMB’s executive arm, carrying out day-to-day park administration.

The Tubbataha Management Office was established by the Tubbataha Protected Area Management Board (TPAMB) in August 2001.  For two and a half years, its operation was funded by WWF-Philippines through a UNDP-GEF and Lucille Packard Foundation grant, after which, it relied on tourism collections and grants to fund park administration.

The TMO’s function is to implement the law and attend to the day-to-day management of Tubbataha.  It is headed by a Protected Area Superintendent, with administrative, research, information and education, and field staff.
