Junior Ranger of Tubbataha Virtual Event, Happening Soon!
On 31 August, at 10:00 AM, the Tubbataha Management Office (TMO) is launching its very first virtual event for children dubbed, “Junior Ranger of Tubbataha”. Children ages 8 years old and above, including the young-at-hearts, are all invited to this one-hour online event streaming via Tubbataha’s official Facebook page. TMO brings its school and community outreach program online to reach a wider audience and inspire children to care for nature.
The Junior Ranger of Tubbataha virtual event is part of the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the Tubbataha Reefs as a marine protected area. It was on 11 August 1988, when Tubbataha was established as a marine protected area through Presidential Proclamation No. 306.
Children will be introduced to the basics of the environment and the issues our oceans face. They will also get a glimpse of the life of marine park rangers in Tubbataha, listen to the story of Shark Stanley and his friends, and become a junior ranger of Tubbataha.
