Over 640 species of fish have been recorded in the Tubbataha Reefs. This year, the Tubbataha Management Office and WWF-Philippines are working together to come up with the first edition of the ‘Field Guide to the Fishes of the Tubbataha Reefs’. The Field Guide will come in three installations. This first edition will feature 33% of the fish population in Tubbataha for the use of tourists and researchers in the park and other marine scientists and fish enthusiasts.
However, we do not have sufficient print quality images in Tubbataha’s library of fish photos. But with your help, we are certain this exciting venture is achievable. We therefore invite you to contribute images of any fish you took in the Tubbataha Reefs and be part of this pioneering endeavour. Full credits will be given to featured photographers.
Check out your files now and see if your fish pictures have what it takes to make it to the Field Guide to the Fishes of Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park.
